Barbara Helton-Berg, AIA
Vice-Chair
Barbara Helton-Berg received her Masters in Architecture from SCI-ARC in the early 80’s, after which she worked for several years for her professors, Tom Mayne and Michael Rotondi, then partners of Morphosis.
Since that time her focus has been on the design and construction of community facilities: libraries, community centers, and schools. She currently is a principal at Thomas Blurock Architects, award-winning designers of public schools.
Barbara is a past president of the AIA and currently sits on the boards of The Architectural Foundation at both the local and state levels. In her spare time, she orchestrates a volunteer program in the elementary schools called BEEP, which through hands-on building projects, teaches kids about their built environment.
