Ruth Meghiddo, AIA
Director
Ruth Meghiddo is an architect-artist with design experience in subjects ranging from single-family homes to urban planning, including institutional and commercial buildings, historic rehabilitation and urban design. In parallel to her professional activities, Ruth has continuously worked as an artist in multiple media: painting, ceramic sculpture, furniture design, computer-generated art and in large scale site specific art.
She is also is a founding partner of Art for Architecture and of ART master-planners, a consulting firm that focuses on the creation of a strategic plan and design development for cost-effective incorporation of the visual arts into architecture and urban design.
Born in the Ukraine and raised in Bucharest, Romania, she practiced architecture in California, Italy and Israel together with her husband and partner Rick Meghiddo, also an architect. She holds a Doctor of Architecture degree from the University of Rome and a Master of Urban Planning degree from UCLA. Her works have been awarded and published in books and professional magazines.
